Recycling in the Wet Mountain Valley is spearheaded through a partnership of individuals that represent the town of
Westcliffe, the town of Silver Cliff, Custer County Government, Custer County Landfill and members of Sustainable Ways.
The group operates under the name of High Country Recycling and is comprised of community volunteers promoting locals
ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The two primary recycling locations in the county are at the landfill and by the Search and Rescue building behind the
Sheriff's Office. There are other locations throughout the county that one can drop off recyclables other than those noted
below.

County Landfill Recycling & Waste Minimization Facility  -  County Road 328, Westcliffe
Tues thru Fri 8 am - 4 pm and Sat 8 am - 12 pm
Cardboard, Cereal boxes, Paper Tubes, etc.
Plastic containers, Plastic Bags and Bubble Wrap,
Glass Bottles & Jars, Aluminum, Tin, Steel Cans,
Newspaper, Magazines, Catalogues, File Folders,
Sticky Notes, Office/Copy Paper and Junk Mail.

Search & Rescue Bldg behind the Sheriff's Office
205 S. 6th Street, Westcliffe     24 hours, 7 days a week
Glass Bottles & Jars, Aluminum, Tin, Steel Cans,

Silver Dome Parking Lot Recycling Bins
110 Main Street, Silver Cliff     24 hours, 7 days a week

SHERIFF'S OFFICE RECYCLE BINS MOVING JUNE 1, 2015

The recycle bins next to the Sheriff's Office in Westcliffe are being relocated to the
west side of the Fire Department on Monday, June 1st.  The Fire Department is on
North 4th Street in Westcliffe.

All other recycle bins, those at the county landfill on Rosita Road and those in the
Dome parking lot in Silver Cliff, will remain at their current locations.
