Plastic & Cardboard recycling at the landfill Tues thru Fri-8am to 4pm & 8am-12 noon.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to BALE CARDBOARD EVERY FRIDAY at the RECYCLING CENTER

Recycling in the Wet Mountain Valley is spearheaded through a partnership of individuals that represent the town of Westcliffe, the town of Silver Cliff, Custer County Government, Custer County Landfill and members of Sustainable Ways. The group operates under the name of High Country Recycling and is comprised of community volunteers promoting locals ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The two primary recycling locations in the county are at the landfill and by the Search and Rescue building behind the Sheriff's Office. There are other locations throughout the county that one can drop off recyclables other than those noted below. To find out what else can be recycled locally go to High Country Recycling
